Righteous Works Won't Save You Bart A. Jones

Man cannot enter into a relationship with God (salvation) by performing righteous works. Sadly, many people place their hope of salvation upon their works, when God has said man's righteousness is like filthy rags in His sight. God has placed Jesus Christ as a stumbling stone before the world to reprove them of their self-righteous efforts. Christ alone was perfect among men. Only by faith and through Christ may we stand before God, though still sinners - acceptable, clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
The World Should See Christ In Us Joe Keen

Do our lives to see if it truly reflects Christ's love and care for people? We should never entertain the thought of standing for God under the threat of physical persecution, like many of the saints did in Scripture, if we can't stand for him in the times of peace. Logic and the Bible tell us that if we cannot be faithful in small things, neither shall we be faithful in big things. Bro Joseph exams his own struggles to break away from just being a Sunday Christian to be an everyday Christian, and encourages us to take our faith seriously. Recognize that we are here on Earth for just one reason, to serve our Lord.
Are You Saved? John A. Keen Jr.

When most Missionary Baptists are asked the question, "Are you saved?" the reply typically is to go all the way back to our experience of salvation. Little if anything else is ever mentioned in answering this question. We who have lived for several years since our salvation have much more than just a single experience (when we were saved) to convince us of our standing with God. We have years of experiences that speak just as loudly to us. The Bible says we can know we're still saved and this knowledge strengthens our belief. The Apostle John wrote in I John 5:13, that he had written these things (the book of I John) so that we might know that we have eternal life so that we could continue to believe in the name of Jesus Christ. How can we know? Well I John mentions several things that answer that question for us. Paul and Job both said they knew Jesus. Not that they had heard of Him or that they had simply just believed in Him, but much deeper that that, they knew Him. So examine all of the evidence and don't give place to Satan and allow Him to discount the vast majority of your life.
A Sinner's Tendency to Blameshift Bart A. Jones

Who is a sinner? We all are, so don't let the title of the sermon cause you to wonder who the sermon is for. The sermon is for you. Focus on yourself. From the beginning, man has attempted to shift the blame for his sins to others. Back in the Garden of Eden, man first sinned. Adam told God that the women gave it to him. Eve told God that the serpent tricked her. Satan, ironically, made no attempt to deny his sin. Satan knew better. God sees all. God knows all. For your benefit, for others benefit, to God's glory - confess yours sins to God, repent of them, ask for forgiveness for them.
Misplaced Fear John A. Keen Jr.

In Psalms 91, our Lord promises us that if we dwell with Him and love Him, He will protect us from all things - seen and unseen. We should fear God, obey what He has said, and then we won't have to fear anything else that comes our way. God may use some of these things that we fear as a trial in our lives but that situation will be a controlled one, which God Himself will oversee so as to not harm us but instead it will build us up in the most holy faith. So, either be afraid of God or be afraid of all the calamities that could come your way. John 15:1-5 teaches us that these Psalm 91 promises are not automatic to all saved people but only to those who abide in God. Jesus clarified it for us by stating that keeping His commandments was abiding in Him.
Maintain Our Focus on Jesus John A. Keen Jr.

When the world all around us is denying the divinity of Jesus Christ but still want to think that they serve God, it points out in a clear and undeniable way that they don't see that when anyone takes their focus off of Jesus they also take their focus off of God (the Father). Jesus is the focus of God's will for us and of the Bible. Even the Holy Spirit, Jesus says, testifies of Him. So we can conclude without any doubt at all that no one can please God without submitting to and serving Jesus Christ. Keep Him at the center of your attention and your life will be enriched with His blessing and your light will indeed lighten the world around you!
Wounded For Christ John A. Keen Jr.

Jesus suffered & endured shame for us. He died for us, being led as a sheep to slaughter, quietly enduring all. Paul records that His Church will suffer, to God's glory. In our suffering for Him, we testify to the world of Jesus. We know since the world despised Jesus, the world will surely despise us also. Through baptism, we join ourselves to Christ's crucifixion. In baptism, we are reborn to newness of life, committing ourselves to crucify our own flesh and deny ourselves the pleasures of the world. Are you saved by grace? If so, have you chosen to identify yourself with God's people by joining one of His churches? Though a Prince of Egypt, Moses made the choice to join God's people in their suffering and oppression. Will you take up your cross?

All your questions... answered with God's word. Members, come together with your church in rememberence of Him.

God's focus is on the internal, spiritual part of our being (the soul and the heart) while too often our focus is on the external person. Repeatedly, in Isaiah 55, the Lord asks us why we spend our money and time on things that have no eternal purpose. The Lord's conclusion was that we fail and we need Him to succeed. If we don't feel the weakness of our flesh, we'll never experience the strength of God. Listen and mediate on His word.

Finding Stability in a Tilted World James Keen

We find stability in this tilted life by our daily leaning on Jesus. How many times have you thought, "I'll serve God just as soon as _______." Fill in the blank with your excuse. Maybe your blank space will read, "I get to feeling better" or "I get past this rough spot in my life" or "my children can sit still in church." It really doesn't matter the excuse, the result is that you are not serving God now. Satan has you just where he wants you.

In Peter's last letter, the Lord warns us about false prophets who will either lead us away from the teachings of Christ or will try to persuade us that He really isn't coming back. Instead, Peter writes, we need to remain steadfast in the faith we have received from our spiritual forefathers and embrace with passion the second coming of Jesus.
